hi everyone, thanks so much for following my account, even if i rarely uploaded anything besides sketches, im leaving deviantart, its become much to great a distraction from my fine arts studies and i was never going anywhere with this site anyway. im not deleting my account though, instead ill be leaving my password with who agreed to change it so i cant log back in and shoot myself in the foot :\ its been fun, and thanks for all your kind words about my drawings, you've all been so nice :3
deviantart is a nice place to start off but you shouldnt stay here if you want to take yourself seriously. surround yourself with good artistic influence based off of what you want to do in your life. dont settle for anything less than the absolute best. Learn from the Greats, Michelangelo, Titian, Caravaggio, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Bernini, Artemisia Gentileschi, the list goes on and on and on, you just have to look. Please. You're better than this.
i know this is probably going to upset a few people who respect deviantart more than i do, but this is just my opinion and why i decided im better off somewhere where i can actually grow as an artist.
i know no one is probably going to take my advice but i would like to at least help you a little. here are some sites that i found really helpful. please give them a chance.

i cannot stress enough how ridiculously helpful Andrew Loomis is. just looking at some of his diagrams improves your perception on the three dimensional form and rendering anything realistically. if you could only take one thing away from all this, please, learn from him.

heartburn is already a very good comic, and i enjoyed every bit of it so far, youre a very wonderful artist as is, and i dont know if you know about Scott McCloud already but im going to include this anyway. good luck with all your future projects :)

This is about all that i had to say. i really enjoyed the 7 years i spent on DA, sharing my sketches, hearing all your lovely comments, collaborating with people, art trades, contests, making new friends. but i realized that, for me, deviant art is just a never ending tunnel of mediocrity and llama badges.
